My half-baked theory is that many right-wingers don’t have any sense of aesthetics at all. Instead, they perceive signifiers. Which is why so many of them like ugly tacky garbage, as long as it looks shiny and new and expensive.

Plastic surgery can be a signifier – if it’s obvious plastic surgery. That’s where “Mar-a-Lago Face” comes from.

PSA: if you want to age well:

    • wear sunscreen

    • eat fruits and veg, avoid sugar as much as you can

    • do some form of cardio(walking is perfectly fine, you just want to get your heart going)

    • Do some form of resistance training.(calisthenics, lift a litre bottle)

    • Sleep around 7 to 8 hrs

You’ll not only be the hottest 60 or 70 year old, you’re quality of life won’t degrade much.

Not medical advice, but a suggestion of easy things to ask your doctor to check for if you have insomnia, and inexpensive to address if they are the culprit: taking taking B12 and D supplements gave me (back?) my ability to sleep. I’ve never slept better in my life.

I’ve had major depressive for most of my adult life. No rhyme or reason for it, just shit brain chemistry. Finding the right medication and walking or cycling really helps.

For me, Desvenlafaxine was the right meds for me, your mileage will almost certainly vary though.

My depression, gives me insomnia. My insomnia gives me anxiety and worsens my depression. Be your own best friend and go easy on yourself. You wouldn’t let others talk to your friends like you talk to yourself. On good days, make sure you do all those things. On days you don’t feel like, push to do as many as you can and know it’s ok if you don’t. On bad days, acknowledge your wins of getting out of bed and brushing your teeth if that’s all you could accomplish. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep going and get back to it.

      • Been there. And, my physical health precludes it sometimes too.

Nothing I can say will help, but you ain’t alone, you aren’t the only one, and if you ever do have a day when you can do that kind of self care, don’t beat yourself up if/when you have the next one where you can’t.

We all gotta get by as best we can, and nobody gets out alive.

Action precedes motivation. If you wait to be motivated, actions won’t happen. Even if it’s starting small like brushing your teeth, or any act of self care or hygiene that makes you feel better physically

I don’t think that’s really fair to megan fox if I’m honest.

I mean there’s a conversation to be had about what she looked like in her early 20s and how much better she would have looked if she had have aged gracefully since then, but I think it would be tough to find a photo of her looking like this.

I thought this was 4 different people. I was trying to figure out what was wrong with the ones on the left!! Holy shit, that’s horrible.

Seriously, I thought they were all different. That’s just some depressing mental illness… Why destroy such beautiful faces like that… They were already really attractive now they’re… Not.

Nah left is original, right post-surgery. Two ladies. Megan Fox and… I forget the other one at the bottom.

I think Megan looks fine BTW… Just did this think called aging, not necessarily botched surgery.

Have you seen her in the new Ro commercials? I thought the commercial featured a Kardashian the first time I saw it. Doesn’t appear to just be aging.

Also, I’m pretty sure the woman on the bottom is Laura Loomer.

I don’t really run into ads so no.

All I’m saying is I’ve seen many beautiful ladies age with a very similar change in facial structure from Megan’s before and after photos at top in 20 years (and yeah, it’s semi-shockingly been ~20 years between those photos).

            P. S. Yeah you’re right Laura Loomer. That’s definitely surgery on her, much larger change and shorter time-scale.

I don’t get this obsession with having no facial lines on your face.

Dimples used to be seen as cute.

I’ve had lines on my forehead since I was a kid and it helps people read my expression. It’s not a flaw.

Now it’s fill and paralyze the face .

    How is this so popular?
