Sausage, fried egg, mixed veggies(cabbage, carrots, corn, jalapeno, onion, squash, tomatoes and zucchini) with whatever seasonings you got that you think would taste good, rice, and a couple lime wedges. It’s not much to look at but it is pretty damn good.

Not everything has to be, like, Michelin star to be legit good eats. First of all, is it tasty? It’s good eats. heh.

I know you’re not presenting this as shitty food, but still, I think that title is unfair - that looks legitimately tasty.

With my health these days, I’ve had to greatly simplify. One of my recent “innovations” - can of chili beans, butter, cheese powder (like mac’n’cheese - you can buy bulk poweder on amazon or other places), over pasta or rice. Last time I made it I put in some drained canned corn. It reminds me of chili mac, but it’s a bit healthier. And while I’m an omnivore, I do like having some meatless meals, and honestly? It tasted great. (pasta was better than rice imho, and the first time I made it I didn’t think about the cheese powder and it was still quite tasty)

So don’t sell yourself short on how you think about that - it looks good!

There is a restaurant in Toronto called Conejo Negro (Black Rabbit) that got a Michelin recommendation a year or two ago. Not a star but still mad clout. Their plating is much closer to OP’s than the assembled-by-tweezers visual art projects people associate with haute cuisine.

I’d rather eat OP’s plate than an algorithm🤣
