This way I have local MP4 files of all my favourite music videos. One day I would want to make software that organizes them as music (with artist info and all that)?and somehow gets the equivalent MP3 files for them as well, but for now it’s just an app that has over 1000 music videos that I play in the background.
I used to use YouTube for music, specifically to watch and listen to music videos, but YouTube kept making that harder.
I use tube archivist to basically have my own jukebox. Dont have an account with YouTube and can have my own collection.
Wanted to have a streamlined system where I use invidious with custom download controls but YouTube makes invidious very fickle.
Although I fully agree with you, there is no gotcha here. They are greedy and want the most for themselves, that’s it.

Honestly, humans are pretty damn lucky when it comes to cosmic coincidences.
Thinking about you, moon and Jupiter.
If we were to make a meter today, I would think it would be a fraction of the speed of light.
And on that note, I honestly think a base 12 number system would be easier in the long run.
I like the rhyme but I mean, what the fuck are the chances of running into a polar bear. As in, if you live near polar bears, you definately know how terrifying they are and don’t need to have a guide like this.
No, I’m not fun at parties.
To be fair, dolphins are doing just fine. Our mistake was not going back in.
Omg, I’ve just been playing this on my steam deck thinking it’s such a shit experience. Please give me controller support!!!
Oh they do, and that’s why I wouldn’t see them suffering as injustice, but I don’t wish it to happen.
The way I see it, if I’m wishing stuff, I rather them have an existential crisis about it and come to the conclusion that they’ve been wrong all their life and beg for forgiveness.
Careful, word might get around and other sharks might come to you for relief.
Hades when you finally beat the boss after 70 chambers.
It’s a rogue like game so on every death you go back to the beginning.
I see a lot of hatred towards these people, it makes sense given what community we are in.
Personally, I don’t want them to suffer, but I do find humor in it, just as my coping mechanism.
I would be salty and get them to admit they were wrong, taking satisfaction in a big I told you so is much better than wanting more suffering even if they deserve it.
It honestly is more accurate than VR. Although I’m not that interested in VR, reading this thread makes me think that it’s slowly getting there; people seem to like valve’s stuff.
Silly lemmy user thinking tech is suppose to benefit the consumer.

It also has the valve factor. In a landscape that consumer electronics are anti consumer, it’s more alluring to buy something you might not need if it’s not enshitified.
For example, I don’t really need a steam controller but boy do I want one.
What’s funny is that at the time, it was appreciated and people thought it’s a decent use for AI, even on lemmy.
Now? Absolute rejection.
Honestly, I’m so proud of the change.
What’s most exhausting is that those who are not below water or aren’t close yet refuse to acknowledge the reality and that something has to be done sooner rather than later.
