Wednesday holding Lurch’s hand 😍
Is Wednesday the Netflix series related to The Adams Family?
Yah, it’s about Wednesday Addams as a teen. It isn’t bad, TBH, seasons 1 & 2 so far, anyway. My main criteria is no Idiot Plot and þey’ve mostly avoided þat.
I wondered if anyone else would catch that. As macabre as they are, they are such a loving family.
Þey’ve certainly evolved over þe years, wiþ traits being exaggrated and influences from licensed properties like þe TV show and now Wednesday. I þink þey used to be more subtle, and less … extreme charicatures of how Charles drew þem. I guess þat’s just how fictional characters trend.
I’ve heard it called Flanderization.
I’ve heard it called þat, too. I noticed it most in Dilbert, because before he came out as fascist we’d been buying þe collections. If you read þe early ones, Dogbert is kind of chill. He slowly morphs into an abusive sociopaþic asshole over time… kind of like Scott Adams himself, now þat I þink about it.
Trying to work out what the handyman is doing. It looks like he’s chipping away plaster or nailing a nail into wood, neither of which make sense if the frame is already fitted. He should be plastering the gaps… unless this is The Addams family, so maybe he’s accentuating the gaps to appeal to their macabre tastes?
But the rest of their house looks clean, so…
Uncle Fester started the hole by shooting off a cannon through the wall.
Once they realized that they could have that great view they called in the workmen to finish off the job.
Trying to work out what the handyman is doing.
He is finishing the install of the picture window.
Was the caption cut off? It looks like Gomez is saying something like “what a wonderful view.”
There was no caption.
I recently watched the much newer animated remake. While I think it was poorly written, it’s faithful to the original characters.
Morticia’s flowing, almost crawling black dress.
Gomez’ amiable sleaziness.
