My partners favorite protein is ribeye. Made her one for our anniversary, saved the spinalis in our freezer for a while for this one. Reverse sear on the smoker. Made a rub that’s a blend of chile powders, rosemary, coffee, and some other good stuff. Finished temp of 133°F which is perfect for a ribeye imo.

Actually speaking of - great time to plug the safest way to clean grill grates. I use a wad of aluminum foil between tongs to scrape, that way there’s never any danger of metal bristles from those cheap grill brushes being left behind.

That looks fantastic - if I ever stop being so cheap I might have to pick one up lol.

I’m unironically relieved! It still looks like a great steak. I’d just pick the hair off and eat it, me. Seriously though, sounds like you had a good anniversary, and I’m glad. Maybe one or the other of us should make a more public PSA about the dangers of wire scrubbers on the grill?
