Oh, is this like the thing where “literally” can be used in additional contexts outside of its primary meaning? So, this joke is “obvious”?
The second one is the lesser known Bob Cellini from Poughkeepsie, who had a poignant bathroom wall writing style.
A guy asked me one time if I thought I was smarter/better educated than the classically educated American founding fathers, and I was like, “You mean the guys who didn’t know about dinosaurs or plate tectonics?” Also they thought they’d finish making the government at some point and then just never did, which we’ve been dealing with for a long time now. So yeah, those guys weren’t idiots, but let’s not pretend they were special.
Oh yeah, that was a thing for a while. Feels like the same era as “eleventy-billion” and the rash of Fuck You internet recipes
After its groan
That’s interesting, I saw this same joke yesterday in text form, I wonder if he got it from that

22·1 month agoI think maybe a little misleading, but probably not fake. For the boxed meal, that shit happened all the time. It’s just like going through the drive through.
For meals served on ships, most of the time you ask for what you want, they don’t just give you what they have. If you have a piece of bread on your tray, that’s because you only grabbed a piece of bread. Most of the time.
Sometimes there’s just not a lot of options because you haven’t been replenished in a while and the cooks have already done what they can to keep people from bitching at them constantly. Fresh fruits and vegetables are always the first to spoil, so eventually everything is canned, frozen, rehydrated, or reconstituted. Or baked from scratch, poorly.

15·1 month agoMaybe the school could be given a list of the groups of people who are welcome. Make em spell it out, if “everyone” is too broad.

If somebody invented a machine that literally doubles worker productivity, do you think a company would just let everybody work half as much?
