  • Nuances?! on MY Fediverse?! tbh im also mostly with Linus and also do not expect his PRs to drop in quality, because of it. He does sometimes say weird things regarding AI though, like that its a great way for upcoming developers to learn and I do not think that is really true, but again: Nuances. I myself keep AI usage minimum and in the constraints of a chat bot, not because its not useful but because I dont wanna get stupid :(

  • Yea I got it to work. (Not the wiicompiled part though)

I have downloaded both wheelwizard as well as dolphin through flathub. Dolphin even provided their own flathub repository which I used. https://dolphin-emu.org/download/?ref=btn#flatpak

With flathub its a bit weird as it lives inside a container in the .var folder. But luckily WW found the path for me so I did not have to look it up myself.

Im not sure if it told me to find the .exe as well, but it would really weird if did. I can look up the path later.

Depending on your distro you can also use the package manager on debian/ubuntu its called dolphin-emu

I did not get the decompilation to work though i have read that there should be an option under some kind of “experimental” category but did not find anything like that and looking through the sources it seems like its hidden away for now. I did notice that Wiicompiled got a linux release today just some hours ago! https://github.com/patchzyy/Wiicompiled/releases/tag/v0.2.26 I will try that later.

  • You mean that in reference to Wiicompiled? I never Decompiled anything myself, but from the videos I have seen about it it does look rather tedious to push bits around all day long until they match. AI is kinda made for the job. Sure it makes it far less special than it to be a group effort, but it works. I just hope the models, maps and everything else are handmade.

    So true.

Switching to Linux and Android makes me feel excited for new technology again. I did not felt that in a long time. All the software is just how it should be. No kings, no masters to appease–just the will to make something helpful. Also the homebrew community is real fun, hacked my DSi and Wii and I love how they reverse engineered a lot of servers that were shut down. Its small but fun–just the fact that we are all on a server that should not exists from all over the world brings me joy.

  • Big autumn head myself! It’s just so fucking cozy.
I have a big lake here and everyone is just walking around it in circles all day long because Autumn is just so cool.
The falling leaves are my kind of cherry blossoms, very short lived but so beautiful.
I don’t how anybody would prefer any other season. Like whats is wrong with you?!
Everyones talking about how great flowers in spring smell, but have you smelled autumn?!
Im just a bit sad it took me 24 years to realize, if not I would have cherished them alot more.
It is no use though to dwell in past though, looking forward to lots of really cozy autumns!!

It accelerates learning by skipping over the most crucial part, the thinking part. Things like the scantron on the other hand accelerates it by skipping tedious parts where there was almost no thinking to begin with.

And yes, while calculators might also skip some of that, its in my opinion not comparable as you still need to understand how to get to the solution when using an calculator.
