This always confused the hell out of me in Mexico.

But if I were browsing a website and that came up it would irritate me too. I’d probably end up blocking that message as well.
I just want to see the content damn it! 🤣

When I browse a website without the dialog I assume they’re not disclosing anything, but as a web developer that’s super against this my own websites are dialog free too.
It’s sad that we expect this behavior from “normal” websites.

I VPN to a country whose language I know nothing about and have literally never had this problem.

If you stop supporting unnecessary animal suffering you cut out a lot of unethical businesses like this from the start. I haven’t eaten there in years and wouldn’t bother if it were free.

Not having had meat in ~8 years the idea of even just their French fries (with their beef flavoring) makes my stomach churn. I’ll never get over the fact people call fake meats disgusting while eating an actual (dead) body.

Boomer humor?

Does this sentence make sense?

Where’s the love for apk -U upgrade?

I originally bought my superwide monitor to hook two machines into side by side. They generally have two sets of inputs that makes this easy.

I’m in the US, where are you? They definitely do not crack eggs for the McMuffin, the eggs come wrapped and shaped already.

As a former McDonald’s and Burger King employee I assure you that Burger King doesn’t have the fake totally real liquid egg you’re looking for. Both companies’ “eggs” are premade into the shapes you see and simply reheated; nobody’s cracking eggs in the kitchen.
But also, both companies are crazy unethical and cause unnecessary animal suffering so I’d recommend not frequenting either.

Define “server”:
If you mean any process that serves on the network well then of course you can.
If you mean multiple containerized stacks acting as a service then yes, you can do that too.
If you mean multiple operating systems, I’m not so sure but I can’t imagine that it’s impossible.

Never having owned a CRT television (LCD was king when I became an adult) I have to say that that looks fucking sick. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a bulky one until now.

And why is “women”not capitalized while “Men” is? I half expected it to be incorrectly spelled “woman”.

I’ve recently signed up for Ridwell and while I absolutely love it (they recycle electronics by the way, at least in Los Angeles) I hate that I have to pay a private company to recycle things.
How would using physical cubes make learning measuring less confusing?

Right, but simply staying away from their websites doesn’t really solve the problem. You can ditch Google all you want but you won’t get away from their tracking on just about every third party app and website — they even load scripts on (US) government websites.
For me it’s starting to feel very draining. I’ve worked on small teams the past several years but now my current internal-only project is picking up stream and we’ve got a product owner and manager on board.
The amount of planning, discussing, iterating, changing requirements, etc. is absolutely demanding. I’m starting to miss just programming. The overhead is what starts to make all this feel soul-sucking after a while.
