In some capacity, yes. English is my second language and I noticed it feels different (sometimes) to say or think something in it as opposed to my native language.
I found that sometimes my brain prefers thinking something in English because it feels more detached than doing it in my native language.
But can it also play the Doom OST?

Scotch enjoyers telling people there are such things as “notes of sea air” and “hints of leather” with a straight face.
I know because I’m one.

I bet it’s possible to make a function that given a song in a list it returns the next song (or previous) in such a way that it’s random but for a given song the previous/next one are always the same, depending on some parameter. That way the only two things the program has to remember is the current song and the parameter used to compute the next one. Then each time shuffle is enabled a new “seed” parameter is rolled.

I think having separate websites/apps for different types of content is the simpler and more elegant choice. Also probably a better user experience than a mega app trying to do everything. This way users also get to choose what form of content they want to interact with.
I sometimes get takeout ramen and end up with quite a bit of broth when I’m done eating everything in it.
Using it to make beans it’s obviously something I do when I know I’ll be the only one eating them, otherwise it’d be icky.
Word of advice, I found the broth is quite salty so you might want to be careful with how much you use and avoid adding extra salt in other ways. The good thing is that a good broth contains everything you need to make those beans tasty. Well, excluding onions, of course.
Next time I make beans using leftover ramen broth I might post about it

I see two forces working in that direction.
One is advertisements. If you run a social media platform or website or anything similar, and hope to display ads, you better not show anything they don’t want associated with their brand.
The second is the rise of political movements (you know which ones) that have nothing better to offer than “modesty” and “traditional values” (whatever that means) as ways to fix the issues society faces.

Great, now we must have the whole dnd gender alignment chart, obviously

Fascinating

I heard it’s common over there
The “pretty common” part maybe, but Guinea Pigs are definitely used as food in various regions of the Andes

The second.
Social media is warping our perceptions in all kinds of way.

I understand your frustration. It feels like stealing in a way, and a crosspost is a clean and neat way to share a post in a different community.
That being said, I don’t see it as a huge issue. Even setting aside that this particular user has a reason for doing that (which you might agree with or not), Lemmy is not that big that a few reposts feel like a problem, and having more activity is nice.

That’s really Aladeen

Massachusetts? Nah, too not English, Mass-America Massashooting
I missed the install instructions for Linux, I’ll definitely install it ASAP.
