  • Think of the poor billionaires!

Piracy is morally right, we don’t owe them anything.

We see that copyright only matters to them if it is convenient, the latest example is training AI on copyrighted works without licenses. But there are many others.

It is also ironic that copyright was originally created to protect small authors from having a big corporation steal their creation and profit from it. Which is still happening. This is also the reason why originally copyright supposed to last 14 years. Because it was thought that 14 years was long enough time to have monopoly on idea

Only after corporations started bribing politicians they extended it to such ridiculous times and completely changed what copyright really was.

  • Oh, wow. Though I wonder if it is regional or maybe it only works when you connect from hotel’s IP I just tried it and YouTube didn’t ask me for anything (I was not logged in either). I also use uBlock, which I suppose could potentially block that, depending how the block is implemented.

BTW: the videos I found on YouTube didn’t work with my TV, I truck duck duck go (also did not need to prove who I am) and first page had a working combo.

  • My worry is that the hype was created by generative AI, so when they talk about AI I’m afraid they mean LLM.

Wouldn’t controlling traffic be a NP problem and we could have a hesitation algorithm to do it (ironically those algorithms we used to call AI).

I also would be surprised they already don’t have mechanisms to validate choices made by traffic controller. That probably be a polynomial difficulty problem.

I think the main reason why they want to introduce AI there is so they can fire traffic controllers as they are major headache for Republicans when they keep government hostage.
