I have not had good luck with any search engine I’ve used lately, even Kagi. I pretty much have to go directly on the website I expect to find what I’m looking for and search there now. Also I suspect that with AI people might be posting in forums less now.

fortunately the Steam deck doesn’t have that problem

A Fedora variant of some sort since they are up-to-date in terms of features and have a low learning curve

F-Droid has stricter requirements for apps to be listed so I prefer the official repo, for instance Aves on IzzyOnDroid has Google dependencies that Aves Libre on F-Droid doesn’t have. IzzyOnDroid is my backup for some apps I want that aren’t on F-Droid.

Does Neo Store have a way to make apps only use the official F-Droid repo for updates unless you downloaded them from a different one? Because it seems to just want to update from any repo, so I ended up splitting F-Droid Basic for official F-Droid apps and Neo Store for IzzyOnDroid and other third party repos.

The current ARM chips at least don’t seem to have stuff like Intel ME, the integrated GPUs are much better as well especially for running AI models. Power efficiency as well, Intel at least is getting close but still behind. Also memory tagging. The Intel/AMD duopoly is getting old.

There’s a healthcare organization where I live that basically dominates everything, and every time they contact me it’s through a new phone number and new format of call/text and they’re super disorganized as well

it’s very probable this PC is running some hardened Linux distribution made look like Windows
Instead of using Wine it uses Vodka

He should have used Linux
go to bed early
Except I can’t fall asleep so now I’m scrolling Lemmy or I’ll just be lying awake for like 3 more hours

Sick I’ll check back in a few months when the GrapaheneOS phone releases and see if I should get that instead (kind of depressed about the state of Linux ARM laptops tho, Asahi Linux was great but the hardware is EOL now)

Does it work with other distros also? My phone is about to lose GrapheneOS support and hope to replace it with a Linux phone one day
also it has a stupid unconventional design that breaks random things on Linux

the website, because it works the same as on my computer
I’m going to stick with OpenCode Go, but the available models keep getting more expensive and the DeepSeek peak hours is annoying to deal with
Whether or not you can pass an exam barely means anything IRL

LLMs themselves don’t, but an external memory system that it reads/writes to might or if someone is reading the chats. But running LLMs locally can be very private.
Spending $1000 on hard drives isn’t very cheap either
I tried another third party Grindr client and my account got instantly banned, and the official app doesn’t support GrapheneOS. So not sure how to create an account.
