most EV chargers can be locked so only you can use them (normally with a RFID or BLE tag).
Also, having chargers in apartment parkings is absolutely viable. it is more expensive to install than in a house. Not sure about the US but where I live (Spain) I know people that have them without issues
I think the issue is that it becomes an everything or nothing. some people want to give apps access to their own documents but don’t realize their are also giving access to things like their chat messages, cookies, etc.
If they aim to provide a more granular approach while still allowing full access to those that need it, Im ok with that

EVs are perfectly fine, even with current charging speeds. the problem is not fast charging but AC charging coverage. everyone should be able to charge their cars at home or work.
The thing with charging times is mostly anxiety based on fear of the unknown rather than anything tangible

AI is inherently bad. It might be useful, but their externalities are quite inherent to it.
it switches between them because it decides i am not moving the steering wheel enough (on a straight line). If I shake the wheel a bit the ICC reengages after a couple of seconds.
I get it is a failsafe so people don’t treat it as autopilot, but the thing complains constantly with both my hands are holding the wheel. mostly on straight lines or long constant curves

I got a car 2 months ago and i’m incredible frustrated by the automatic cruise control. it has two modes “ICC” and “ACC”. I have no idea about the difference but the thing keeps switching between them and alerting me with a red alert every time!
I stopped using it after two weeks
schools in my area already do this without any major issue. Kids put them in their locker when they arrive. If anyone is caught with one it is taken and the parents need to come to get it
