Technology@lemmy.world•Don’t Want to Spend Time With Your Kids? Train an AI Voice Model of Yourself to Read Them Bedtime Stories: Parent-child bonding time isn't so sacred that it can't be optimized with AI.English
19·11 hours agoGod I love you permanent alone nerds who have never seen a functional family and create these absolutely nonsense lines in the sand with standards that have never existed and are not realistic.
The parent took a few minutes to themselves, the child is ruined!!!
You’ve all essentially lost your fucking minds over an audio book 🤣.

218·13 hours agoI love how you nerds one day are like, parents never get a break cause kids can’t play. Then this comes out, literally an incremental change of something that’s basically been going on for 60 years, and you all screech WANT TO IGNORE YOUR KIDS, bad parents!!!
Holy shit, AI has rotted your brain’s just by existing.
Recorded bed time stories have been a thing for 60 years. Parents getting 20 minutes off doesn’t mean they aren’t being read to.

Edit: holy shit I gave this garbage a scan and bit I’m happy I did.
‘It contained, to her horror, a “page of assumptions that Amazon has made about me based on my purchases and I’m literally speechless.”’ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what a moron subject for a nerds first horror story 🤣
Nerds not liking accurate descriptions of their lives 🤣.

23·10 days agoNo, that’s an unrealistic reactionary view which fails to address the gains that can be had, has no way to be enforced, and is a short sighted take.
Not what I asked. But it’s okay, I’m SURE you’ve been screeching over the dangers of audio books for years 🤣👍
