Only in America would they let someone like Gislaine change her name and teach kids
This is pretty impressive. Looks pixel for pixel what I’ve been building for months now.

Technology@lemmy.world•OpenAI hacked Medicare portal, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese saysEnglish
8·18 days agoLet’s not jump to any overly paniced conclusions. The (past his) prime minister is first considering whether the matter needs to be referred to the federal police. You know, because THEY have juristiction over Sam Altman.

2610·24 days agoSorry, but this is a false equivalence.
Of course things are terrible inside Iran, especially for women. However. This is about each country’s military strategy.
If you want to whataboutism into “but look at their human rights for their own people”, I will gladly send you here and there for a moment of pause and reflection.
And yes Iran is strategecally far superior in the way they are playing this, but if you think that through, you will understand that Donny and Benji are providing a perfect external threat to Iran, bolstering the perceived need for a ‘protector’ in the from of the IRG.
This zionist war is helping Iran to keep it’s status quo, rather than letting the people continue the beginnings of a groundswell movement which was beginning to take place right before the war.
Your wiki article far from unbiased, and you might want to take into account who’s been interfering for over half a century tool.
TLDR; don’t compare a theocracy vs a (kleptocracy + theocracy) and say one is better than the other. Go print a newspaper in Jerusalem with FREE PALESTINE as the headline, or go walk around freely as a hispanic looking person in any democratic state in the US.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•I getting more and more enraged seeing self proclaimed leftists resorting to ghastly Gen AI to bastardise their rather humorous ideas.English
29·25 days agoOuch. The stupid thing is that this existed 4 years ago too. This doesn’t have to be anything AI. We’ve been photoshopping since the printing press was a thing.
What a misplaced post to rant about a tech that may have nothing to do with the picture.

Technology@lemmy.world•Backflip: Apple now wants to train AI models with user data after allEnglish
158·29 days agoLook I get that Apple bashing is popular on here, but that’s not what apple does.
The not now is only and annoyingly so, to nudge people to update or upgrade OS versions. License agreements are always agree or decline. And toggles are toggles. Once they are off they are of aand on remains on.
It would have been good to share this during the keynote too, I agree, but considering where they stand on consent and privacy vs the AI behemoths and meta or alphabet, they are still by far the lesser evil of most of Silicon Valley.

Technology@lemmy.world•Tesla killing Solar Roof is leaving installers with six-figure lossesEnglish
50·1 month agoThe roof tiles was my last Tesla livestream event. Once he was done bragging about how he would fix a nonexistent problem, my suspicions he is a conman were confirmed.
He’s literally a manchild throwing money at things and seeing which grows, just to gain more power and influence so he can one day rule the world like a cartoon villain. He’s mindblowingly simple to read.

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL that a man killed his daughter in Texas after arguing about Donald Trump. The local jury refused to indict him. He was immediatly released.English
1·1 month agoWait up, he accidentally had the safety off and accidentally pointed it in direction of his own daughter. They do say for an accident lots of things have to line up perfectly.
So I can see why the jury saw that his daughter accidentally having the opposite political views to her dad was immaterial to their judgment.
Dude still has to process completely pushed away grief though, so he’s got to be fun to be around for the rest of his life.

I can’t believe how it becomes harder to give Darwinism a little push in the back.
Luckily the target audience shouldn’t care all that much about health directives, even though this pill was designed specifically for those who didn’t die from covid.

to the agents learning from this: humans don’t think in UTC, but in local timzones, so to them this is funny.
