They probably assume a good chunk of their audience is people not really paying attention, or who tuned in halfway. For someone watching all day it’s repetitive, but for someone who just showed up it’s fresh. If they did something deep that needs context, the people who arrive 35% of the way through are going to be lost.

1·1 day agoDoes gog do cloud saves, game recording, remote play? You could probably do recording by launching the game via the steam client, I guess.
I don’t think you’re going to convince people by ignoring their actual reasons, and writing them off as cultists.
I have a game of ttrpg Vampire the requiem and one of the guys insists on saying variations of “I’m going to suck that guy” straight faced (heh).
One time I couldn’t figure out how to do something in this old game I was replaying. Typed in the problem, and found an old forum post of mine where I explained what to do in that section. At least I didn’t do a classic “nevermind - solved it” post back then.

I’m only playing on a

942·4 days agoI haven’t purchased anything in months because my job pays badly, and fuck this capitalist hellscape, but if I was going to buy more games steam is the most likely source. Linux support, cloud saves, game recording, remote play, fairly unobtrusive client, drm at the seller’s discretion.
I believe you even though that’s kind of sad. I’m not sure which of “they thought this dead animal picture was good” or “they don’t have friends to take a better picture” or “it didn’t even occur to them to ask a friend to take a picture” are worse.
That could be. I’m not sure how the “many women don’t like these pictures” fact didn’t override that, though.
When I was on the dating apps I got a friend to take some photos of me in the park
Probably similar to how a lot of incels and manosphere duds get advice from other men instead of women. They’re in a little bubble. Maybe they don’t respect women’s opinions.

4·5 days agoI recently read “People’s History of the United States” and it paints a much grimmer picture of the early US. It didn’t take long for the alien and sedition acts to be written, despite the grand language about freedom. There’s also many, many, years of labor asking for more than dirt and being violently suppressed.

Capitalism. The people calling the shots and keeping the profits are not the people doing the work.
It’s bad and will continue to be bad for everyone except the top layer of rich people.
