I learned that from Ian’s Shoelace Site which predates YouTube by a few years. Still the first site I go to when I buy new shoes for lacing ideas.

I’m so happy I haven’t heard the term Blockchain in a while connected to the next amazing technology. I’ll be happy when LLM goes that way too.

Someone with that many partners is disease ridden.

The Outer Worlds & Outer Wilds are pretty hard for me to differentiate.
Lucky you. I got hit with “Young, Dumb and Ugly”. I figured if women don’t find me handsome I should at least be “Handy”, but it turns out that “Everything you know is wrong” is more appropriate.
I’m not saying I didn’t love it at the time. I had a great time with it (my favourite probably being Duke Nukem 3D multiplayer via direct phone call), I’m just not nostalgic for that machine. Advances just came so fast at that time.
I’ve been using a program someone on Lemmy has been writing: SSHPilot. It helps keep my server list organized and can easily ssh to the machines or open up a file browser for easy drag and drop of files if I have some quick files to move around. It copies ssh keys easily as well.
I’m nostalgic about my 486,but I don’t miss it. I had the 25 Mhz, MEGAHERTZ not GHz version and it was pretty damn slow. The upgrade to the 100Mhz chip was great but it wasn’t until multicore CPUs before I felt that computers got fast enough for me.
That guy attracts more downvotes on his comments than you do.
AI, possibly. Algorithms, yes. Generative AI, fuck off all the way back to reddit where the training data came from.
High reliability organizations need deterministic tools that can be trained on so that operators can understand how they will work. They do not need an AI black box that might distract them with a hallucinated situation in the middle of a critical moment.

There’s a great video showing how silently owls fly compared to other birds. I’ll link it if I can find it.
Edit: Found it
Yeah, but the nut is usually loose in the bag.
They could also just be very young.

It’s turtles all the way down.

Alcohol never had any sort of attraction to me thankfully. I don’t really like having an altered mental state in the first place, and I never found a beer that I liked until I was 23. I’m 45 now and I’ve been drunk 3 times in my life and each time I was just wishing the effect would wear off. But I do have addictions, just other sorts of things. Wish you luck and strength in your journey.
Also reddit: and my axe!
I also have theatre joke story.
Opening for Jurassic Park. Packed theatre too. Triceratops is sick scene where they go to look at the droppings.
This scene comes up:

My younger brother who was probably 6 or 7 yells out “That’s even bigger than mine!” and the whole theatre bursts out laughing!
2 years ago I bet you could. Not sure about now. Need to find the next crazy tech fad and attach that label.
