What a weird unit to brag about.

What a weird unit to brag about.

The CDU saying “what firewall?” not for some generic conservative issue but for straightforward Nazi whitewashing sure is a choice.

We currently have sanctions against the ICC, but not Al Qeada?

A pretty white woman was murdered, time for a full week of national news about it. That’s tragic for her and her family, but I absolutely don’t need to know about it. From a magazine most well known for ranking the looks of celebrities no less.

But think of how much better your life will be when the modest costs of primary care are taken away. Sure, you’ll still go bankrupt when that primary care finds something and refers you to specialized treatment, but before that you’ll be saving upwards of $150 a year. Or probably more like $25 if you have insurance, because they’re sure not going to reduce premiums to make up the difference.

Seriously. You don’t need to outline your whole journey to finding the bug, commentary on the tools you used, and how it all made you feel, just what the problem was and how it was fixed. Put the rest in a blog post.

ML is my career and I’ve been doing it for decades. You’re wrong. LLMs hallucinate with full context.

Open weight LLMs are not trained any differently than all the others. They just publish the weights. It’s still massive theft run through a data center.
There is no (good) coding LLM trained ethically because securing rights to the amount of code and text required has not been attempted and is likely not possible. The best you can do is a company who hid a “by using this service you give us rights to use your code/writing to train our LLM” into a six page EULA no one reads and that’s just a different kind of unethical.

What was that random desktop image in the middle of the article for? It’s that the author’s? What kind of impression did he expect his elf babe wallpaper to convey?

This guy was rumored to be the planned worse replacement for Hegseth once he got too scandal ridden for Trump to tolerate.

No, they should tear it down immediately. Don’t pretend like an authoritarian monument needs proper review before its destruction. They can take their time and submit plans for the rebuild, but the ballroom needs to come down without pussy footing around giving the Court time to decide that now it’s not ok.
The only better result would be letting them say no before giving them the finger and doing it anyway because their whole lot is corrupt and illegitimate.

He wasn’t a long-term military officer. He served in the military for 3.5 years and then became a MAGA politician. This isn’t a good guy standing up for truth, it’s some internal MAGA power struggle.

He was appointed by Trump. This isn’t an independent voice getting kicked out for standing on principle, it’s one lacky getting in a fight with another.

The EO changed the name on official government maps. Private companies don’t need to adopt those changes. At one point Google even stated its policy was to use the name in common usage rather than pushing updates based on arbitrary changes by a neighboring ruler.

Some were probably too lame, like Musk, to warrant inclusion in the pervert gatherings.

I just downloaded CoMaps today to replace Google Maps as my default. One unexpected benefit is that they mapped the driveway to my apartment building and now directions lead to it rather than the street address.
I think that’s just good luck though as the driveway happened to end up closer to the centroid than any other driving paths. I see an open issue to use marked “entrance” points for routing which could allow people to specify where the right place to target would be.

They’re told he took the stupidest possible stance by a lobbyist and just took it as fact to keep some donors happy. Most of the people commenting on him are empty suits who would have no positions at all if they could avoid it. It just happens to be that that sort of person is incredibly easy to corrupt by wealthy interests.

It just makes killing one take more drones. No where near the cost of a tank though. It’s going to have to get a lot better before that trade isn’t good for the drone user.
Sometimes big heavy targets with big guns just stop being used because they’re no longer efficient or effective (like battleships).

It’s not air superiority, it’s drones. Russia also isn’t really able to protect its tanks. They’re an obsolete technology, at least until some more effective anti-drone defenses are developed. They already weren’t that great due to the air power requirement, but with drones they’re just a waste of money and lives.
It’s recording power over time. From the article this is since April, but without that to bound it doesn’t really give the relative scale to compare it. It could be lower power over a long time or a lot of power over a short time.
I’m also not really sure that’s impressive. It sounds like a lot because “billion” is big, but that’s around the amount of renewable energy my metro area uses in a year. Total use is around 10B.
