  • Because everything has to be PG or people throw a fucking snowflake temper tantrum. Even though everyone knows the words they’re obviously saying. It’s like bleeping out cuas words on the radio. It’s not like anyone over 4 doesn’t know what they’re saying.

As a side note I was an elementary teacher for a decade, your kids are sailors at school, even if you think they’re angels.

I agree about putting your name on AI artwork as it’s yours is questionable at best. But it’s going a tad overboard with this type of stuff. If I had no access to create artwork for a flyer or skill to even know how to do it, I still wouldn’t hire someone to make one for me, as a person. It would just look like dog shit and it covey the information.

As a non designer I’d use AI to make a better looking flyer. This IMO would be a reasonable use of AI. They were never going to spend money on a designer to begin with. In fact, 30 years of doing graphic design I’ve never had a “person” come in for a flyer. I’ve made hundreds for larger company and corporations, but never a “person” for a small event, at least paid, I’ve done a few favors for friends or voulebteered services.

I’m just saying, everything isn’t AI is evil. These people aren’t customers and never were, so who GAF. It’s kinda like Nintendo suing all the emulators thinking those users will all buy a Switch now. They won’t, or they already have.

  • Because they’re generalizing. Is every boomer a millionaire? No, there were plenty of cooks, waitresses, mechanics, retail jobs, ect that aren’t. What they’re talking about are people that made middle-class my money in a lifetime career at the same job. They became millionaires by doing absolute shit other than living life, on a single income with however many kids.

Now a days, if you’re in a middle office job you’re living paycheck to me paycheck in a 1 bedroom apartment and may or may not be forced to take the bus. People with the jobs earlier ate living of revolving credit, snap, and maybe other forms of convenient assistance.

So no, EVERY BOOMER didn’t make out, but the bar for “a good life” was multiple times lower than it is now. Now people who would be considered “rich” by boomers are middle-class today.

Ok, so here’s my question. AI is a tool, not a person. So I create text prompts for it to make whatever I type (theoretically). You say that takes no skill, sure.

Now a writer who inputs the description of a character they created in a book into AI and it makes a picture of a person based on the writers creative skilled writing. Are you saying it’s crap even though the writer put skill into the unique description, but used a tool to make a picture based on it?

By that token if AI is a tool, would a artists brush be considered bullshit slop because it’s used to make a pairing. By definition it’s a tool as well.
