It is not unusual at all for me to get invites for meetings that will occur several quarters out. Also, quite a few of my invites contain agendas, “action items” and other bullshit that calls for thorough preparations that are impossible to finish 15 minutes in advance when the reminder comes on.

28·12 days agoPolitics and society are bifurcating, and Hacker News is taking the fork on the right. “Apolitical” is an excuse to favor the status quo, a resistance to change, and therefore a re-enforcement of the existing biases and power structures of society.

Also, no disrespect, but “Dorje Morup” sounds weirdly Danish to me.
It’s true but it doesn’t matter. One of the main promises of the far-right is to free people from the shackles of “reason” and “logic.”
Otherwise, how would they vote for a party that’s going to make their lives worse in every aspect? It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.
I think we all can imagine how lesbians will fare after the 4th Reich that the far right is is yearning for has been installed.

seems to be the implication.
In Europe, even part-time workers’ time off is counted in “days off.” Even if the end result were the same, I just think it sounds a lot nicer for the employee. “Hey boss, I won’t be coming in for the next two weeks. Nah, make that three.”
