“You can’t criticize my sect unless you’ve been part of it” is a strong stance.
I know enough about this “technology” and the studies around it to know that it’s worthless. Just like NFTs that so many people were drooling on.
By definition a quality programmer wouldn’t want to use an LLM. Just like a quality architect wouldn’t want to build a house by making monkeys throw bricks in a pile, with the excuse that he goes after them to fix it.
I’d actually say that the “quality” dev that vibe codes is worse, because it often comes with an ego that leads to them wanting to hide that they use AI, or to hide the fact that no, they don’t master their code nearly as much as if they wrote it by hand, and it leads to more crap.
I don’t know how many more studies proving that LLMs are crap we’ll need before the slop stops.
Yeah, it feels great to not have AI psychosis, you should try it.
You’re right, AI is here to stay.
Thank god people like you exist, or we would have also missed the train of the blockchain and NFTs.
And how could this amazing technology that literally doesn’t have a single positive point, and has a lot of points ranging from slightly negative to completely immoral and illegal, ever go away? I don’t see how, at least Grok said so in the middle of a paragraph telling me that nazis were right and that I should go kill minorities and vote for Trump.
You are the same.
LLMs are slop.
So people don’t know how to use language anymore?
Or is tech literacy so low that people don’t even understand the difference between an edited image, and some absurd slop generated bt a trash machine?

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•‘Idiocracy’ Predicted All of ThisEnglish
41·1 month agoYes! People keep on thinking that they’re so smart by saying “see, idiocracy was riiiight” when the movie basically tries to say that stupidity is hereditary, and that dumb people (understand: the sub-race) need to be eradicated through eugenics.
That is such a nazi stance, and there’s a gigantic amount of morons that don’t see it and keep on screaming “idiocracyyyyy” anytime they can.

Poor nazi, he was only trying to do his job!
It would be funny if it wasn’t the current reality.

It’s just a case of a horrible piece of shit abusing people just because he can, there’s nothing oniony about it.

Comic Strips@lemmy.world•[meta] Please ban comics by bigoted artists
1·6 months agoThe argument of censorship is bullshit. If a comic is made to discriminate, it is basic decency to get rid of it. If an author makes themselves known by being discriminatory, no platform that cares about user safety and having a non-toxic community needs to get rid of them. It’s as simple as that.
When you refuse that kind of “censorship”, you are only making it clear that you like making this place unsafe for the people being attacked. Which makes you a piece of shit in my book.
So yeah, let’s just ban these things that have no reason to exist, let alone on lemmy.
What conclusions? You literally just said that on top of using “AI” to slopcode your software, you could have lied about it, as if that was a defense.
Someone comes to point out the problems of using LLMs, and your answer isn’t about using LLMs or not, but about lying about using them or not.
Why is everyone so nonsensical when it comes to AI?
