Executives need their 13th beach-front property.

Daikatana is a game that is objectively bad, but I can see the amazing vision behind it. It had some really cool ideas that were executed really poorly, either because of lack of knowledge from the developers or lack of time for proper implementation.
Deathmatch was fun though.

You can’t leave without him. Literally.

Usually these type stay on as part of the running lights, and then the brake lights illuminate more lights or make these brighter.

I am assuming they mean CurseForge, which yeah, I don’t like CurseForge either.

Finally - and perhaps most importantly for Mexican gaming enthusiasts - the pair are pushing for additional accountability for companies that sell digital goods in Mexico. At the moment, many of these companies do not have consumer-facing support in Mexico, and this proposition aims to change that by forcing businesses to have a Mexican business address so authorities can intervene if consumer rights issues occur.
This feels like it could be an easily abusable problem and not a real solution. Who exactly would this apply to, publishers or game developers? What about Indie developers that self-publish?

I just felt the story was better written. While some of the characters felt a little more fleshed out in Trigger Happy Havoc, and some gameplay elements were better in V3, overall I found my enjoyment of Goodbye Despair to be best.
Also, Goodbye Despair has the GOAT Ibuki Mioda, who was done SO dirty. I am very interested to see what happens in 2x2.

This might be rude of me to ask, but do you happen to like the Final Fantasy series?

Top 5 is too few, heres top 10 instead, in no order:
Halo Combat Evolved (the original)
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time (the original)
Silent Hill 2 (the original)
The Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of This World YU-NO (the original)
Super Metroid
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
Super Mecha Champions (can’t play this one anymore and it is such a shame because the gameplay was so fun)
Need for Speed Underground 2
Elden Ring
MechAssault

People, especially the Japanese players, wanted a sequel that continued the story of Harry Mason. That’s why Konami forced Team Silent to change Silent Hill 3 in order to incorporate all the elements to force a connection to Silent Hill 1. Silent Hill 2 had so many complaints about not being connected to Silent Hill 1 that it permanently disfigured Silent Hill 3.
I guess back then we didn’t fully understand the concept of a sequel with a 2 in the title not directly continuing the story from the original. Whatever the case, the fact remains that Silent Hill 1 was immensely more popular than Silent Hill 2 for a good long while. It wasn’t until recently (maybe within the last 10 years or so) that Silent Hill 2 came into the spotlight.

I like Silent Hill 2 (the original, not the remake), and consider it the best Silent Hill game, but let’s not kid ourselves. It was only mildly received when it came out, getting an average score of 6 or 7 out of 10. It only very recently came into vogue.
I loathe its ability to spawn the millions of YouTube video essays about it. This is the pain of a franchise you love going mainstream and then all the new people completely change it. Tale as old as time.
Don’t let your hobbies go mainstream people. Its a two edged sword. Sure, you get more interest and more money into the sector, but it also permanently changes forever, and almost never for the better.

Its not even close to the worst thing. The worst thing was letting 343 “Halo Studios” keep Halo.
At worst, we just get another bad Halo game. But with entirely different people working on it, at least there is a chance it could be better. Under 343 “Halo Studios” it had no chances of being good.
Activision is a publisher, they don’t only make Call of Duty. They have a large variety of games they publish, including Blizzard’s Overwatch, which while one can argue doesn’t fit the Halo gameplay, proves that Activision has the capacity to publish FPS games that feel almost nothing like Call of Duty.

Looks to be some sort of flatbed utility vehicle, like the ones that arena grounds workers use to get around, or the ones that airports use for luggage transit. Maybe one you might see the handyman at an apartment complex driving around. Something like that perhaps, at least that is what I see.
The small and thin tires seem to indicate it is a light duty vehicle, so I wouldn’t expect it to be doing any heavy lifting.

My point is that Activision isn’t a studio. It’s a publisher. I read Activision said they are forming a new studio for Halo.
I mean, I didn’t bring up all of Activisions classic games like Pitfall, just the most recent games they have published since those are most relevant to the topic.
“the era 343 was turning out good games too”
Ok but that never really happened. Ensemble made Halo Wars and Creative Assembly made the sequel which were decent IMO (the first being better IMO). Every other game with the Halo brand under 343 was garbage. Forget about Spartan Strike and Spartan Assault? 343s first game was Halo CE Anniversary, which was horrendously bad, so I suppose it is poetic in a way that Halo Studios, which only survived long enough to drop a single game, would die with yet another rehash of Halo CE.
Except for maybe Fireteam Raven, only because I never had the chance to play it, 343 never had an “era of making good games.” Halo 2A was pretty good but it launched in the very broken MCC which took them years to fix.
4,5, and Infinite were the absolute low points of Halo, with Infinite being the best of the three only because of the art direction. But they are all far below Bungie-era Halo games.

Activision doesn’t only publish Call of Duty though. They publish all kinds of games: Sekiro, the Tony Hawk games, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, etc.
Way more potential than what 343 had. I mean, 343 was purposefully NOT hiring former Bungie-era Halo employees. The important ones, like Marcus Lehto, Marty ODonnell, heck they only brought Joe Staten to get Infinite “back on track” and then promptly kicked him to the curb too. 343 definitely deserved this earlier, I am gonna be honest.

I mean, not thrilled Activision has it, but at this point literally anyone other than Halo Studios would be better.

What’s the problem? That’s what all video games from almost every studio has been for the last like, 15 years. A completely different game with a recognizable brand name slapped onto it. Mainstream consumers don’t care apparently.

I am assuming this means they are planning on adding a “free with ads” tier to Xbox Cloud Game Streaming. Which doesn’t really bother me that much if its a free tier. But if they add this to paid tiers or full games that would probably lose them a lot of goodwill that Asha seems to be pretty keen on regaining lately.

If they haven’t announced drives being removed, then there isn’t any proof that they are planning to do it. There is no benefit of doubt, nor is there evidence to support your claim.
This is not true. Everyone has the ability to be tech savvy, except perhaps people with severe learning disabilities. Which, if that is the case, they shouldn’t be having children, thus making them irrelevant to this discussion.
People have to care enough to actually try to learn. Learning tech is not difficult. But too many people don’t care enough to want to even try. Because trying takes effort, and people these days only do whatever is easiest.
I mean, why actually parent your kid when you can sit them down in front of an iPad all day and make the government create laws that make businesses and schools responsible for raising them? Why take on the responsibility of your conscious choice to create a new human when you can just shove it all onto someone else who can take the blame when that inevitably fails? Kids take up your free time; why deal with that when you can drop them into the daycare called Roblox and then do whatever you actually wanted to do without needing to supervise your kid?
Additionally, sometimes you can’t have a certain kind of parental control on something, thats true. The solution? Either the kid can use it while the parent actively watches them, or they aren’t allowed to use it at all. Kid is visiting webpages they aren’t supposed to? DNS block those sites. RaspberryPi community might even have something like a PiHole but for blocking outgoing network traffic to certain URLs, or maybe even a PiHole might work for that, IDK. Everything has a work around, but there are ways to make things difficult for someone that isn’t eventually going to end up a computer science major.
