You are missing the point. I am not talking about voter supression, I am talking about democracy leading to good outcomes for its people. There is a reason why people keep voting against their own interests and why the swampiest swamp creature won the 2016 US election with the slogan “drain the swamp”, and that reason is systemic misinformation. Fox News is so far removed from the truth that they can put up the defense that “No reasonable viewer believes them” and get away with that.

Worse still, democracy relies on informed citizens. Distributing disinformation does not only hurt the individual affectwd by it, it hurts democracy itself.

I can’t speak to “all” the china coverage, but China congratulating Russia for their elections is being reported now, because the elections were now. As for negative coverage, there are also good news coming from China, like them being able to super-scale renewable energy production, the sales figures for EVs or the general fact that China is good in lifting people out of poverty. That shouldn’t overshadow the fact however that China is a one-party autocracy without free elections and the most oppressive surveillance state, which is committing a cultural genocide against minority peoples within their borders.

Sorry, but you have lost the plot. Your example is Fox News stirring up anti-immigrant sentiment by prominently featuring one immigrant criminial, wanting to cast all immigrants in a bad light. The article the OP posted cites a spokesman of China’s foreign ministry as saying
“China congratulates Russia on the smooth conclusion of the Russian State Duma elections,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun told reporters in Beijing.
Your example tries to put blame on a group of people by highlighting one individual, the article cites an envoy of a state making an announcement on behalf of the state. If you can’t tell the difference between the two, you need to check yourself.

My F-Droid app has been able to bulk-update for two years now. Sometimes you have to trigger the update process manually, but the apps all get updated.

When you find an app, F-Droid 2.0 will make the installation process easier. Google has long put up roadblocks for sideloaded apps, citing the security implications. This is also the rationale behind its upcoming developer verification system. For now at least, apps will be easier to install from F-Droid thanks to the use of Google’s pre-approval API.
That answers my question if those smoother installs already account for Google’s insistence in making “sideloading” way more annoying. They do not.

You haven’t? I always check F-Droid first if I want a new app.

I’d wager it’s simply not possible to be profitable using AI for most use-cases. You either burn way too many tokens on your queries or risk your business falling victim to an under-tokenized AI hallucination.

oof ouch owie

Because Ukraine was once a very conservative country.

Wasn’t the sales pitch that those prediction markets would act as a “whistleblower platform”?

Supported. Next, start a petition to criminalize politicians pushing the same crappy laws again and again in the hopes they at some point pass.
All hail the dystopian future, where countries don’t need people to make babies, in fact, they oughtn’t, as it decreases worker productivity. They can just order a steady amount of new slaves workers being born.
I am pretty sure the picture is not representative of the actual device.

I remember the GrapheneOS team saying that they won’t bring their OS to Fairphone, because the Fairphones don’t bring hardware support for security measures the GrapheneOS team doesn’t want to compromise on.
