All thats needed to wipe the disk is to delete
You are jumping to a point in time after what I am asking:
“all you need” is to delete a key -> No, you need to encrypt the disk before, which is the step prior, and without it, deleting a key change a thing…
So basically, the part “hardware” built-in could make sense, but the guy didn’t specify any if this…
In other words, zeroing the disk is going to be faster “in normal circumstances”.

How computing a result from a ?4096?bits key for each byte goes faster than writing 0 for each byte?

Krakens aren’t that bad, there is place for 2 cuties
Well, when the bubble will -pop- explode, the whole economy is going down - yours too.
You might still want to buy… Sooner rather than later…

The executive accused the media of spreading “misinformation and outright lies,” arguing that “in the age of social media and 24/7 news, myths take hold faster than ever before.”
Misinformation and outright lies? Isn’t that “executives” playbook?
I don’t believe anything what “corps” are trying to tell.
Remember the tale of the kid crying wolf? That’s on them.

As AI, cloud-native development, containers, and open-source ecosystems continue to converge on Linux
When the VP Windows Platform is telling things like that, it’s time to let it die already…

You are a very bad villain, let me explain.
Religion is about control. Your idea is giving away the only leverage you have at controlling people to the A.I.
What happens when the LLM bullshit a section of your bible that contradicts the “real” foundations of your religion? That’s the God’s AI as it intended’s voice against yours…
Good luck not ending on a stake ;)

So, that’s the best we’ll ever get?

There is a train race. Just like car racers, you have train racers putting coal in the engine, pushing the machine forward the finish line.
At one point, a few racers are saying that they are moving at incredible speed and everything is “so hot”.
As any train, you own the speed, not the track! At one point, a racer might say that the current speed is too fast if a sharp curve is coming, but that he cannot stop putting coal in the engine because slowing down might cost him the race…
That’s what is happening.
N.B. I don’t agree with AI LLM and all that, I am trying to explain as best as I could.
See the Skeleton sport too…

Or one might try BSD before installing TempleOS… BSD might just do the trick.

The practical risk is limited, but still significant. Applying the attack against the deprecated use of 1024-bit keys took a handful of months on an academic CPU cluster, significantly less than the current estimates for 1024-bit factoring that would require resources that only nations or companies with massive resources could achieve. Widely used RSA implementations are also safe.
Bold emphasis is mine. It’s a nothing Burger article.

They don’t fuck around over there, jeez.

The guy is working at a shitty sweat shop and blame AI for his misery instead of moving his ass to another job.
Let’s ask Claude to write an article about it.

such periodic breaks can be placed at a variety of predictable times in the content without adversely affecting the user experience,” the Microsoft patent declares.
The experience is very much affected I would say… But that’s only me…

Oh I totally agree we should see the site in its original language, and that we should have the choice to translate it or not.
Now, what companies accept in their index and what the site owner is doing with automatic translation or not are unrelated.
But think about our children!!
