I heard RCS was due to open up any day now. I heard that like 5 years ago. I want to be able to use Textra (or other 3rd party texting apps) again. I fucking hate that I’m locked into Google messages if I want to be able to send high res photos and whatnot to my non-techy friends and family.
They’re in my attached garage. In the living room when it’s quiet I can hear them humming. Does that count?

I also need new hobbies.
I’d second that. Whenever I catch myself getting angry at a LLM I stop, have a think, and remind myself that it really isn’t productive. If it’s providing frustrating responses, maybe I should just use my brain and do it myself.
I also don’t think it’s healthy to train yourself to respond in those ways to something that talks in a way so similar to a human. I’m not nice to the AI for it’s benifit, it’s to retain my humanity, if that makes sense.

Pretty but inaccurate pictures done quickly sounds like management’s wet dream.
I’m certain he’d take that as a compliment if he read it.

You don’t even have to purchase something several times. I bought two of the same monitor once and now it thinks I have a preference for that no-name brand. It’s pretty dang dumb.

Mine is pretty meh. Gets a lot right, but thinks I have a dog and I prefer zigbee. I have a cat (that I’ve bought dog accessories for) and prefer Z wave, but usually buy those things elsewhere.
Most of the things it has are directly related to a single purchase that I remember. It thinks I like a certain brand of monitor because I bought two of them for secondary monitors once. They are no-name monitors and I could not care less about the brand. It’s pretty basic shit. I could probably write the algorithm for it.

Where is “here?”

Depends on how much I’m buying. If I’m doing a bi-weekly shopping run, I’ll be way slower at self check. If it’s just a few things, I’m quicker.
I’ve never heard of mobile checkout though.

Fair point, but I’d struggle to forgive a business even more than a person. Sometimes it also doesn’t matter if they change if what they’ve done is awful enough.
Yeah, I use ddg, I was more making a point.
Gee, it’s almost like pressuring people into something makes it super not enjoyable for anyone. Anywho, I’m off to Google something only to scroll past the AI generated response I didn’t ask for and can’t disable.

I mostly miss the fries tbh. Fortunately a brewery near me has the bombest fries I’ve ever had, but sometimes you do just want those garbage McDonald’s fries.

What’s even more weird is that going somewhere that isn’t a chain, like a local burger joint, doesn’t make me feel as bad. Maybe it’s all in my head or maybe the food is that much better.

Does it taste nice? I quit fast food 3 years ago but of all the things they serve, I don’t miss their burgers. Their fries and nuggets maybe, but I never want a McDonald’s burger. They just aren’t good at all, not by any metric.

I hate this style of titles. I’m a gearhead and own 5 vehicles and a motorcycle. None of them are a smartphone on wheels, the newest one is newly 20 years old.

Oh my god I need LubeLogger. I only looked it up because of the… questionable… name but I currently use Fuelio and I hadn’t even thought to look up a self hosted thing.
I’m excited for memories as well, but I’m not sure you’re using the phrase deal breaker correctly here haha.
