I can’t disagree when compared to this administration. Still ranks under slop.

Good news! Soylent Green can solve all three with a bit of processing.

Welp, that’s not the direction I expected my search to take… Learned something new today.

Haha heck no, at least not in my case. It’s not impossible to just stumble on the domain. An infinite monkey sorta thing.

I get frequent login attempts from Google servers too. I got the impression they offer a SaaS service some script kiddie uses to attack home assistant installations.
Make sure passwords are unique and activate incorrect login bans.

I quite enjoy these songs too, but there is speculation they are AI. I heard another totally different song that had the same exact tempo and characteristics. I turned to my S.O. and we both gave each other the same inquisitive look; this sounds eerily familiar.
So dang catchy though.

Huh, neat.

How is that fan balanced at all! It’s got to be some perspective thing, right?
EDIT: well, I’m impressed! Learned a bunch!

The red flags were more in jest as I have a habit of spending too much if I hit ACE unsupervised by my better half. :D

There are notification requirements if they use the technology in store. The tech it’s self is allowed.

Yup, have those around too. My motto with Harbor Freight is “buy cheap first. If it works, great. If it breaks, buy better.” Serves me well, but not worth testing & investing in battery lock-in tool lines.
Lots of neat gadgets and supplies though. How much tech do you need in screwdrivers, clamps, and consumables.

I’m aware of the lawsuit suggesting home Depot is using self checkout cameras to scan and log biometric data. I am waiting for that to play out in court however.
If true, then yes, throw the book at them. It is likely video is sent to remote processing hardware that does violate the law.
However, I’ll point out that is an assumption as the plaintiff nearly saw a rectangle around his head which doesn’t necessarily indicate anything beyond object identification; basic technology built into cameras for decades now.
In this case Home Depot themselves somewhat implied legitimacy to the complaint in their defense of it. Smooth move guys.

Oh, I love Ace. The employees know me by name. That’s probably a red flag, but I don’t care. Yeah, it’s pricey though.
We also have Outdoor Supply Hardware here. The nut and bolt section is handyman heaven.
Still, as great as they are, sometimes I need construction stuff from the other stores.

Those little mobile sentry stations that record 360° seem intentionally placed in positions next to high volume public infrastructure. Honestly, there should be a law requiring them to shield lights and cameras from uncontracted property.
We had one locally installed in a lot between two apartments. Dude, that would have pissed me off having cameras and strobing lights straight outside my bedroom window.

Home depot and Lowe’s are often the only significant home repair place around. In order to boycott one, the other will have to take the first step and remove the cameras. (Which would probably be Lowe’s since I heard Home Depot donated to Trump and the former CEO is a big supporter)
Still, a boycott won’t work well as long as we have a lesser of two evils situation.

Ahh. From what I saw online, some have 2 screws above the battery compartment that sound like a NO relay to trigger existing systems if the user had them. I suppose it could be a different model.

Don’t they have relays for chimes?
Use the chime relay as a trigger for a real doorbell or ESP32 with a speaker.
Lot less dominos…

California drivers want to save money and want to reduce harmful emissions, so I think Californians will be very pleased by having higher-quality tires on the market,” said Bill Magavern, the policy director for the Coalition for Clean Air
This guy is huffing everything but clean air. What a joke. His “savings” is roughly $0.003/mile.
First of all, an OEM tire for my car is $260/per, while a highly rated Yokohama was $125. Bill can blow “Saving money” straight out his windy ass.
Second, proper alignment has significantly more effect on savings than rolling resistance.
Third, when my parents bought their first hybrid in 2004, the first thing they changed was larger tires because that sucker floated like mad at freeway speeds. It was scary when a large truck passed and blew the car around in the lane. Stopping distance improved too. Safety was worth the hit of 3 MPG.
Some of us take tires seriously. We carefully choose based on location, use, performance, and price. All this does is ban safe options and reduce competition.
Edit: my post wasn’t supposed to sound mean as it did. :)
After many tormentous nights I’ve come to accept that people a lot smarter than me are paid a lot more than me to make a buck off my back every way possible. I may not win the war, but I sure as hell don’t have to make it easy for 'em.
It does please me to read so, so many others are waking up to big data and the greed/selfish nature of data brokerage by turning on flock and data centers. Politicians might even jump on board if they can swindle enough votes.
Haha! Yeah, might… I know.
As someone who tried to walk off a DVT for a few days, the doctors/nurses were the nicest part of the process.
Insurance denied my prescription though. I was back in the ER the next day when the clot broke apart and compromised my lungs. Fuck insurance.
