  • New Outlook is such a pieceof shit.

Want to view mail headers to check if the mail is legit? Though tits, bro, no can do. Either save the mail as .eml and open it in a notes app or switch back to Outlook Classic.

Want to run a rule manually, but have notifications for it turned on? Lmao, are you stupid? You can’t do that. This particular bug has been reported over a year ago and they still haven’t fixed it.

I fucking hate working with this piece of shit and other Micro$lop products.

  • Aww, I’ve seen only a couple fireflies this year, but I guess that’s to be expected in a city. I don’t generally mind other bugs and spiders, I just relocate them (or turn them into a pancake if it’s a mosquito). Just the other day I had to rescue two larger spiders that couldn’t climb out of our kitchen sink. I don’t like them crawling on me, it’s just a lizard brain reflex, but spiders are cool otherwise.

Roaches on the other hand… they’re too fast and they only appear if there’s something nasty going on. In this case, our ex-neighbor would leave food leftovers on the balcony table to marinate for over a week. She kicked out a rug on the balcony that her cat pissed all over and it stank for well over a week of cat piss. Don’t think she ever cleaned that up. She also leaves her cat for weeks alone when she’s gone, so I’m gonna assume the place on the inside also gets nasty.

  • Internet has a hard-on for virtue-signaling and black-and-white perspective, and “adopt, don’t shop” is one of those. There is nothing wrong with ethical, responsible breeding.

There is, however, a lot wrong with unethical breeding (e.g. doll-face persians, scottish folds, pugs, frenchies, showline GSDs, etc., and backyard breeding as a whole) and official breed standards set by people who only care about the looks and not the health of the animal.

  • The cost of living varies a lot not only from country to country, but from city to city within the same country. But yes, it’s the safety net that we have here. You don’t go bankrupt if you have a medical emergency, your health care insurance isn’t tied to your job, child support is better (varies by country), worker rights are stronger (varies by country, but on average it’s better than the US), secured paid maternity leave, vacations, sick leave, etc. Generally speaking, if you live in Europe but work for a US company, you basically hit a lottery. As a software dev, at least.
