Congress passed a symbolic resolution on Tuesday to condemn socialism — a move that saw eight Democrats cross the aisle to back the GOP on the measure.

The vote, which has no actual effect on public policy, was swiftly mocked by observers on social media.

“Voting to condemn an economic system that doesn’t exist in our country, to protect the one which we live under that exploits the working class to benefit the obscenely wealthy,” wrote Melanie D’Arrigo, executive director of Campaign for New York Health. “This was Congress’ priority as 60% of Americans struggle to afford food, housing and healthcare. Embarrassing.”

I’ll take that as a concession then. They aren’t winning any elections outside of primaries in deeply blue districts.

Which informs my answer to your question. They weaken the brand by opening it up to easy attacks (things like Romer’s utter inability to defend the platform in interviews, to the Hasan Piker fallout).

As a result, they are hurting the Dems chances in a very important midterm general.

Which you apparently think is good because they do lip service you like.

Yeah, I kinda expected you to tap out as soon as you had to engage with a single fact.

Oh well, more MAGA for us then. Yay. They must be thrilled to have you for controlled opposition.

Yeah, I decided you weren’t worth engaging with because you think it’s more important for your team to win the sporting event than it is to have a functioning government. I’m sure MAGA is thrilled with the corporate democrats that keep passing all their policies.

            Hence, sure buddy.

I gave a perfectly coherent argument for exactly the opposite. You, on the other hand, can’t argue a single point.

corporate democrats that keep passing all their policies.

              Such as?
