Every single parking spot should have a charger. It will happen some day.

Yeah, adding that many lines does not sound like a cleanup to me. Unless it’s mostly adding unit tests.

Probably because it’s colder up north. They need the warmth.

I’m just baffled by such destructive company policies. Last year I worked for a very dysfunctional company (a major bank) where a lot of people seemed to be extremely adverse to solving the actual problems the company was facing. I was told it was politically sensitive. Later someone else explained that product owners had too much power but were only interested in building their portfolio, and not in whether any of it was actually good.

Online, search in an incognito window using a VPN. Firefox has a builtin VPN toggle these days. Then, only once you found what you’re looking for, login and buy it. And bail if they change the price.
And just don’t buy from Amazon.

Why not use that time to soap up and rinse off your body while you wait for the shampoo to do its thing? That’s what I do.
Yeah, no kidding. My favourite train museum still has an item about the Hyperloop because they fell for that bullshit. They should really clean that up, or at least remove any references to Musk.
He was definitely seen as progressive, and pro environment. I don’t know if he ever really was, or if it was all an act. I think it was partially true, or at least it was easy for him to act that way, until his daughter came out as trans and that broke him. He quickly turned openly fascist after that. But I also think he’s always been racist. There are old rumours about all black employees at Tesla working at a department nicknamed The Plantation. But I also think he did really believe in electric cars and solar power. Maybe he still does, but he has now aligned himself with the side that doesn’t.

In Shadowrun it wasn’t demons, it was people. (Spoiler for 2074 events.)

Good thing we got rid of the modems that let them to vocalise their screams.
I’m staying here, but my son who wanted to become a programmer has now decided to study for maritime officer. I don’t know when AI will take over ships.

I once saw someone call the Singularity the Rapture but for nerds, and I thought that was spot on.

Not sure what your argument is here. You own quote says that:
two key events of the biblical story of Jesus’s life have been widely accepted as historical
Nobody here is arguing that everything ever written about him is historical, just that he existed.

Isn’t that a commercial product for which great open source alternatives exist? What kind of distro does that?
And don’t they also preinstall Basecamp, DHH’s own company’s product?
Maybe it’s all just a vehicle for product placement.

there’ll be a dozen different forks before you know it.
Aren’t there already?

If it really was an accident, then this is pretty clear evidence that guns do kill people. Either make it harder for idiots to get guns they don’t know how to handle responsibly, or lock up the murderer.

Google Maps is notoriously bad with cycle routes. It has sent us over sand paths where you can’t cycle at all, when better routes are available. In cities, OSM also gives better routes.

A surety in court? That really depends on how justice oriented your justice system is. I’ve heard some appalling stories about that. Where I live, it would probably work. In some other places, possibly not. I have no idea about California. A contract like that shouldn’t hold up, but that doesn’t mean it won’t.
You don’t need fast charging if every parking spot has a charger. You only need those for long trips.
